SY Distribution Agreement

Avensys have entered a distribution agreement with SY Electonics and manufacturer of twisted pair distribution products. Avensys' Alaric Wood signed the contract during the recent ISE Audio Visual Trade Show at the RAI in Amsterdam. The agreement enables Avensys to distribute SY products within the audio visual industry. SY Electronics was formed in 1983 as an electronics design, development and manufacturing organisation, specialising in microprocessor-controlled systems. Since it began SY Electronics Ltd has had numerous successes and is now a well-established company.

In 1993 the company developed a KVM (Keyboard, Video Mouse) switch for a major retail company, as part of a major I.T. infrastructure project. This was so successful that KVM switches were marketed under the brand "PC Switch". A full range of KVM products then followed and led to design and development of a complete range of Cat5 KVM and Video extenders, sold under the brand CatX. CatX products are currently sold in over 32 countries world wide.
